Exploring Motherhood
Sheila
Becoming a mom at first I thought it was like hell, till after she was born after that it was a different story. Sheila and Cecil were born in St. George. Jetta took care of me and the doctor came to the house. I didn’t go to the hospital. I thought Sheila was one of the cutest babies I had ever seen. And I still say it today. Do you know the baby on the ketchup bottle? She looked just like that. I thought a number of times I ought to send her baby picture in, they would think I copied it off the Heinz bottle. She was cute and she was a good girl.
I said all the time that she was just like her grandma Luilla Leavitt; anything happened she wanted to be the first one there and the last one to leave. She didn’t want to miss nothing, and she never usually missed anything either. She kept everything she ever had a part in and she had a part in anything that went on. And the rest of the kids just better stay out of her stuff.
